Die Rev. 2.0 ist garantiert FSB200 tauglich, die 1.x nur garantiert FSB166 tauglich.

1. Wo liegt der genaue Unterschied von MCP2-T zu MCP2?
2. Warum hat mein Bekannter dann trotzdem SoundStorm auf dem Board?

(Sowas würde nicht passieren wenn die Abit HP eindeutiger wäre ;) )

1. MCP2-T - mit Soundstorm
und MCP2 - ohne Soundstorm

2. Dein Bekannter hat noch lange kein Soundstorm auf dem Board, wenn dort "optional" steht. "Optional" heißt nur, daß es das Board auch mit Soundstorm als Ausstattung gibt. Dann heißt es allerdings auch NF7-S.

Ich habe das NF7 (ohne "S") und habe KEINEN Soundstorm, aber immerhin den über den Realtek Chip realisierten 5.1 Sound. So wie alle NF7.

Sorry dass das nicht so rübergekommen ist, aber im Handbuch steht "optional" und er HAT SoundStorm. Ich glaube kaum dass sonst die Software dabei gewesen wäre und diese auch funktioniert ;)

davon hab ich gehört, dass anfangs (zu rev1.2-zeiten) auch auf manche NF7-platinen der MCP2-T draufgelötet wurde, is aber nicht der regelfall und eher grosses glück, so eine zu erwischen...

Ja ich hab wohl mehr oder weniger Pech gehabt..
Naja, war dann wohl nicht anders zu erwarten bei Rev 2.0

Trotzdem krieg ich den 5.1 nicht zum laufen.. :(
