Probleme EPox

Dear 8KHA+ Users
As of March 1, 2002 EPoX has received claims from customers that there is a conflict between the 8KHA+ and Visiontek's GeForce 4 Ti 4600. Currently we have not been able to confirm where the problem lies and it is being closely looked at by our technical engineers and R/D. EPoX and the 8KHA+ has been the motherboard of choice for much of the computer enthusiast community and we will make every effort possible to keep positive communication and interaction between EPoX and this community. As for now please always use caution when inserting any riser cards (i.e. VGA cards) into EPoX motherboards, as well as any other manufacturers. This practice will prevent any forceful damages in the future.

Please note that here at EPoX we are always open to hear your comments and complaints and as always we strive to make sure all problems are dealt with in a timely and correct manner. den lösungsvorschlag von Epox find ich aber am besten : " schneidet mit einer kneifzange einfach den condensator ab - der wird nicht benötigt"

Würde mir vorher von Epox eine unterschriebene Bestätigung holen, daß diese Aktion nicht die Garantie verletzt. Ansonsten MoBo kostenpflichtig zur Reparatur zu denen senden oder ganz zurückgeben. Ist nicht Spezifikations-gerecht.

WATT ? So'n Quatsch, das kann ich mir beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen. Warum ham die das Teil dann überhaupt raufgelötet ?

Klingt kommisch ist aber so, laut einer Verlautbarung von Epox. Es stimmt aber nicht das darin steht das man den Kondensator mit einer Zange abknipsen soll. Vielmehr wird empfohlen den Kondensator abzulöten oder wer sich nicht imstande dazu fühlt dieses von einer geeigneten Fachwerkstatt erledigen zu lassen

Laut Epox wurde die Stromversorgung fuer die DDR RAM Slots extrem grosszuegig ausgelegt, weil zur Entwicklungszeit des Boardes nicht genau bekannt war, wieviel die DDR RAMs denn brauchen.

Es scheint als waere DDR-RAM wesentlich genuegsamer als damals angenommen, so dass der 2. Ladungsspeicher (Kondensator) entfallen kann.

genau ... aber ich würde das trotzdem net tun ... würde ds board auch einschicken und mir eines der neueren revisionen schicken lassen wo das nicht mehr so is
