Was haltet ihr hiervon:

Eine auf Gentoo basierte Distribution, die sehr einfach zu administrieren sein soll.

Gentoo ist doch schon einfach genug, was will man mehr. Nun gut, weiter im Text.

Als Desktop wird Gnome eingesetzt mit OpenOffice, Ximian Evolution als Mailer und Produktivitätstool. Mozilla und das Gentoo Portage System ist auch dabei. Besonders interessant ist das schon alles für den Benutzer dabei ist, also auch Flash, Realplayer, PDF und der Multimediabereich. Auf der Seite gibts auch ein paar Screenshots die ganz vernünftig aussehen.

Ich finde das hört sich super an!

wenn ich richtig sehe, entspricht das einem gentoo (stage 3 via anaconda installer) mit gnome + tools + progs (wie oo) und einheitlichem aussehen.

gibt es soetwas wie anaconda auch für stage 1 ;D

This proyect was originally created by Victor Prada from Venezuela, i contact him by email regarding the development in to making a developer's group to continue the proyect but i haven't recive any answers from him. From now on i continue making changes to the code that Victor wrote for Anaconda Gentoo installer,This installer use's the RPM package manager to install the stage3,Kernel and Portage.For other things like: vixie-cron, sysklogd, kudzu and XFREE they use the emerge command.

To install Gentoo Linux 2004.0 using it you have to download the .iso based on you're computer arquitecture and insert it on you're CDROM and boot with it, on the following links you will find the .torrents files of the currents isos of the instaler for: x86, i686, Pentium3, Pentium4 and AthlonXP:

hat das schon jemand getestet?

ich werde das mal antesten, hab noch platz auf der platte. sieht ja sehr interessant, wenn der einheitliche look auch erhalten bleibt wenn man anwendungen nachinstalliert, ist es wirklich ein easiest-to-use gentoo ;)

VidaLinux 1.1 (http://desktop.vidalinux.com) ist übrigens mittlerweile erhältlich.

* Unterschiede (http://desktop.vidalinux.com/index.php?option=content&task=blogcategory&id=16&Itemid=42) zwischen der Download und Verkaufsversion. In der Downloadversion kommt also vergleichen mit Distributionen wie SUSE oder Mandrake so gut wie nichts mit, sondern muß nachträglich über Porthole oder direkt emerge installiert werden.
