I think I can say, without getting my butt fired, that if we decided to do another Delta Force game it would have a strong single player element and not focus on vehicles. The last two games we've released, as you know, included only training missions to prepare you for multiplayer and concentrated on lots of cool vehicles.
Delta Force =/= Joint Operations and I'm cool with that. SFOD Delta gets counter intelligence training with the CIA. They are trained to gather information, operate in densely populated urban environments and rescue hostages. The next day they can be HALO dropped into a jungle to inflitrate into an enemy communcation center and knock out RADAR to cover the advanace of a squadron of F16's. That's cool stuff. That's Delta.
Taking and holding an objective with your platoon, calling in fire support and decimating your enemy with an Armored Cav unit isn't what Delta is about. It's still cool as heck, however, and that's how I think of JO.
I'd like to see that distinction being made between the games. One is two armies duking it out, may the best team win. One is a handful of elite troops making life hell for the bad guys and disappearing before anyone knows they were there.
