Is there another application thats taking advantage of pp????
P.S. Could you try HF2??

Till now ...no.
what do ya mean w/ HF2?

HF2?

Yeah,Half F*ck 2
Try to force it with 3DAnalyze.
P.S. Can you tell us something about GC ???Have you got it yet?? @ robbitop

I don't have hl2. But I tried far cry - research. Forced PP/FP with 3DAnalyze. Same results here. It seems that only some shader functions are faster w/ PP but not all.

And,can you tell me something about GC (insider info),i'm interested???

Not before my new article is been released. I don't want to public these informations before. :)

When it's done ;). ATM I'm collecting and verifiing informations, sorting them and cut NDA things out. Maybe there'll be a few hints in it..I dunno.
The article will be in english and german thistime, so it takes a bit longer.
I think I'm ready in april, but our chief is a bit slowly in the publication process (S3 vs XGI needed aprox 2 months from final state to publication).
But I think this time it wont take as long as the last time.
Parallel to this "information and guide" article about S3/XGI there'll be an driver compare arcticle and a GammaChrome article (I hope I can get a sample quiete fast).
When it's done ;).
I hope you wont need 4 years like J.C ?? :uhammer2:
No seriously, can you at least tell me when will GC be released to the market???

I'm considering to buy a barebone for my living room. And,as you might expect it should be a low power design with the latest and gratest tehnology.Maybe something from Aopen based on Pentium M and 915 NB.A GC should be perfect for this task. *the reason for my curiosity*

Nadeem told me GC will be released in the next 2 or 3 weeks in USA. The first time the cards will be available only from S3 itself, later club3d will bring the chromes to the market.

So s3 will be producing their own card just like XGI??

Was heisst "dasselbe Resultat hier"?

@IVN
seems so, the package of the cards I've seen got no vendor sign on it, just the S3 graphics logo.
