The xine team announces the availability of xine-lib 1.0.1. After the success of the 1.0 release, this one improves on the output plugins. xine-lib will be among the first media architectures to use the pixel (or fragment) shaders of modern graphics hardware to accelerate the playback with the OpenGL plugin.
But for those not using OpenGL, the new version also contains support for new media formats like WMA voice and WMA lossless. Numerous other enhancements have made their way into 1.0.1.
Since the previous versions have known security problems, we recommend everyone to upgrade to the new 1.0.1 release.
Changes:
* Big XvMC quality / correctness / cpu-usage fix. [bug #1114517]
* fixed builds with Xv or the entire X11 unavailable
