Zitat aus dem Test der Abit Siluro 4200, deren stolzer Besitzer ich auch bin, auf Hardwarezone.com:
More About The Card
To complete the I/O interface options, there is also a TV-output via a 9-pin mini-DIN connector. No surprise as graphics cards of this league usually come equipped with one. What separates the ABIT SILURO GF4 Ti 4200 over most other existing graphics cards with TV-Output is the video encoder chip used. A Philips SAA-7104E video-encoder chip is put in charge of TV-output to deliver up to 1280x1024 resolution at 50 or 60Hz out on to your big screen television. If you still do not realize what I am driving at, the Philips is the first and only video-encoder producer to set a new standard in TV-output, which no other video encoders in the market can as it delivers a maximum VGA resolution of 1280x1024. Compared to the common Philips SAA7108E video-encoder/decoder all-in-one IC, which only allows one to output a maximum of 800x600 VGA resolution, the SAA7104E allows for quite a bit of flexibility. This relates to more viewing area on the TV screen and as well as a higher quality output.
Wollte ich einfach mal loswerden... :chainsaw:
Gruß Mike
