bildschirmauflösung - bildfehler

Hallo!
ich hab mir ubuntu auf dem laptop installiert und soweit funktioniert auch alles, bis auf die auflösung.
auf 1024x768 funtzt alles, allerdings ist das bild dann unscharf. die normale auflösung fuer den monitor, sprich 1280x800 funktioniert nicht, da ich nur bildfehler bekomme und alles falsch angeordnet ist.
die graka is ne mobility radeon 9700 und ich hab die neuesten treiber von der ati seite installiert.
ich brauch hilfe, vll hat ja jmd aehnliche probleme oder ne lösung fuer mein problem.
btw. unter windows funktioniert die auflösung, also hardwarefehler koennen ausgeschlossen werden!

Das Problem dürfte sich erst mit Anpassung der Konfigurationsdatei des X-Servers lösen lassen.

funktioniert, ich musste nur noch "1280x800" eintragen und neustarten jetz gehts, danke
