Hey!
Nach einem Update von Debian (unstable) ist beim nächsten PC-Start die Bildschirmdarstellung (Xorg) ziemlich komisch gewesen. Mein Bildschirm (asus-laptop) hat eine Auflösung von 1400x1050, das Bildschirm-Bild bei einem Screenshot eine Auflösung von 1400x1050, ich sehe aber nur den linken oberen Teil davon, weil die tatsächlich dargestellte Auflösung des Bildschirms geringer ist (raufskaliert..?)

ich seh nur den rot gekennzeichneten Teil in Vollbild (also ohne schwarze Ränder) auf meinem Monitor, mit krass rosaroter Einfärbung.. yeah

Irgendwelche Ideen..?

Hallo,
für alle, die mit den Auflösungen Probleme haben, Out of range und ähnlicher Mist, empfiehlt sich eine Neueinrichtung / Einrichtung des X-Servers, nicht manuell , sondern auf der Ebene der Kommandozeile.

Das hat bei mir immer dazu geführt, daß die Auflösungen verfügbar waren, die ich haben wollte, die Hz zahlen waren dann passend, TFT um die 60Hz, Röhre 85, das System zeigt dann immer noch irgendwas anderes an, aber es funktioniert gut ohne Flimmern und man kommt in die grafische Oberfläche.

Diese Einrichtung des XServers ist in der Regel nur einmal erforderlich, es sei denn man ändert dann Hardware, besonders natürlich den Monitor.

Insgesamt finde ich die Einstellung des Monitors unter Ubuntu, nur dafür kann ich sprechen, auch etwas krautig.

Wenn diese Fragen bei der Installation so einmal abgearbeitet würden, dauert ca. 15 Minuten, dann wäre vieles einfacher, zumal sie ja sogar in dem Konfigurationsprogrammm kommentiert sind.

Hallo,

weil ich denke, daß die Lösung mit der Wiki Anleitung auch hier zum Erfolg führen kann.
Habs mir halt einfach gemacht, weil es im Grunde dasselbe Problem ist.

Nicht manuell heißt, die Datei "xorg.conf" sollte nicht editiert werden, sondern man überlässt die erneute Erstellung der Datei dem System , indem man das Programm "reconfigure" auf der Kommandozeile ausführt.
Der genaue Befehl steht in dem sehr guten und ausführlichen Wiki Artikel.

In die Kommandozeile gelangt man , indem man Ubuntu in den Recovery Modus booten lässt, falls es schon installiert wurde. Man ist dann root und kann die Befehle eingeben.
Falls man es von der Live CD installieren möchte und der Monitor geht nicht, gibt es da auch so eine Methode mit zunächst Safe Grafics Mode oder ähnlich, ich weiß es nicht mehr ganz genau.
