Liberation fonts

Red Hat war so frei und hat die Liberation fonts für die Linux Community bereitgestellt. (y)

Sans - a substitute for Arial, Albany, Helvetica, Nimbus Sans L, and Bitstream Vera Sans
Serif - a substitute for Times New Roman, Thorndale, Nimbus Roman, and Bitstream Vera Serif and
Mono - a substitute for Courier New, Cumberland, Courier, Nimbus Mono L, and Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.

Die sind bei mir alle schon dabei (Ubuntu 6.10). Oder sind das neue??? Sonst verstehe ich die "News" nicht so ganz ....

Weder bei 6.10 noch bei 7.04 sind die Liberation fonts anbei.
Villeicht kommen sie ja in Gutsy Gibbon out-of-the-box mit rein. *shrug*

Ich denke mal, er meint, wo jetzt der Unterschied ist, wenn man sich schon die msttcorefonts installiert hat.
Die Frage habe ich mir auch gestellt. Macht das Sinn, dann noch die Liberation Fonts zu installieren?
Oder entsteht dann ein Loch im Raum-/Zeitkontinuum, wenn beide Pakete (Ubuntu) aufeinander treffen??
