Erst mal Aspect Ratio fixen ^^

Antialiasing lieft bei mir auch nicht, die Engine ist auch irgend ne komische Eigenentwicklung.

Weiß einer zufällig wie man hier MSAA zum Laufen kriegt. Das Game rennt hier mit ~130-220fps. X-D
wenn eine ATI-karten im rechner steckt, geht es recht einfach: die darksector.exe in bioshock.exe umbennen, dann greift das MSAA.

ein umbennen in UT3.exe geht zwar auch, aber hier gibt es dann einige bildfehler...
(getestet mit HD4850 & catalyst 9.2)

Hmm... das würde bedeuten 45-er Bits im NV-Lager. Greift bei mir aber nicht. Muss ich mal bei Gelegenheit bissel rumprobieren.

Schade, dass man Cryostasis nicht unter XP spielen kann ... irgendwie erinnert mich das Spiel vom Feeling her ein bisschen an Penumbra ...

Ja die Demo war wohl Vista-Only, die Vollversion ist es offenbar nicht mehr. Seltsame Geschichte... aber gut.

Echt? Ich dachte die Demo gibt es schon weil es auch auf der PC Games DVD diesen Monat drauf ist.

Dark Sector was based on Sector Engine, later changed to the Evolution Engine, both Digital Extremes' proprietary next-gen game engines. Official statements about this being just a name change or a major shift in their technology were not released to the public yet. Halt ich für ein Gschichtl. 1. sieht das Lighting ziemlich nach UE3 aus - und blöd wär man gewesen wenn man nur das übernommen hätte, denn schliesslich wollte man ja anscheinend nicht, dass es nach UE3 aussieht und 2. wird ja selbst gemutmaßt, dass eine veränderte UE (2.5?) zum Einsatz kommt. Wahrscheinlich ists im Prinzip ein UE-Derivat, was bis auf Kleinigkeiten (die dazu führen, dass die AA-Bits nicht mehr funktionieren) - mit der UE3 ident ist...

EDIT: Jedenfalls wüsst ich nicht, welches neuere UE-Spiel auf Konsolen mit AA läuft...

da geb ich dir recht. leider wird dann auch noch versucht die (fehlende) kantenglättung durch allerlei wischiwaschi-effekte vorzutäuschen und dann wird es erst richtig bitter.

Da wär ich auch für. In Dark Sector wären bei mir locker 3360x2100 drin, das ganze dann auf 1680x1050 runterskaliert, sprich 2x2SSAA. *träum*
Wäre so etwas über den Treiber realisierbar, sodaß jedes Game eine höhere Auflösung annimmt und dann das ganze auf die native Auflösung runterskaliert wird? Natürlich mit jedem TFT?

Ich habe da mal einen guten Tipp für dich - auf deinem Bildschirm ganz rechts findest du so ein kleines Ding. Man nennst es auch Scrollbalken. ;)

Das ist die Zeitlupe, da verschwimmt die Umgebung. Wenn du das Game selbst gespielt hättest würdest du sicherlich anders die Bilder wahrnehmen. Man sollte langsam bewegte von Standbildern unterscheiden. :)

Die Räder gehen ja noch, aber an den Kanonen.... das sieht schon komisch aus, ist mir erst gar nicht aufgefallen.
Aber die Räder hätte man mit ein paar Polygonen mehr schon besser hinbekommen können, denk ich mal.

ich find fear 2 optisch klasse, zwar kein vergleich zu crysis aber sehr stimmig insgesammt.IntelQ9550Reaktor bitte komprimier die bilder nicht so stark :/

Hab ne beschi***** Internetleitung, und ich versuche schon das bestmögliche aus den Screenshots rauszuholen. Aber ich schaue mal was ich machen kann.

Ich finde die Grafik übrigens auch recht gut, bis auf ein paar Patzer wie z.B die Räder. aber eigendlich stört mich das beim spielen nicht.
Weil so genau schaut man da während dem Kämpfen eh nicht hin.
Für die Helikopter Screenshots musste ich da Level ziemlich oft neu Laden um gute Bilde hinzu bekommen. Was ich aber meistens, und bei allen spielen muss.

Auch das Symbol an der Wand im Hintergrund erinnert, wenn es auf einigen Screens so 'heilsbringend' über dem Tresen schwebend aus dem Dunkel herausscheint, verblüffend an Riefenstahl-Ästhetik...

Hehe... naja, was heißt Fake AA. Genau so sieht es auf dem Bildschirm aus, quasi mit SSAA. :)

Und wenn man auf mehr Widescreen steht dann habe ich noch 2496x1600 zur Verfügung. Damit wird nur das Bild minimal zusammen gequetscht und die Kantenglättung ist etwas schlechter. Aber immer noch besser als gar nichts. ;)

PS: für Full-Details in 2988x2100 werden knapp 1,8GB Vram benötigt. :D

Wie meinst du das? Minimale Abweichungen von bestimmten Lichtpositionen können durchaus auftreten weil ich bei Ändern der Auflösung ins Menü muss und das ganze bestätigen. Somit ist das zweite Bild schon 0,5-1 Sekunde versetzt. Da die ganze Stadt lebt...

Grid (WIP) mit ParallaxMapping - momentan wende ichs auf ganze Bild an, da gibts aber leichte Probleme, dreh ichs zu weit auf, werden manche Sachen zu stark verformt.

Nicht jeder ist so bewandert, dass er alles gleich zuordnen kann. Daher bitte immer den Namen des Spiels angeben. Und wo du schon dabei bist: Das Model sieht auch nicht so ganz original aus. ;) Solche Mods mitzuerwähnen kann auch nicht schaden, vielleicht interessiert sich ja jemand dafür.

Ingame stören mich die schlechten Texturen nicht so. Die kommen nur auf den Shots so übel rüber.

Übelst so hatte ich Mafia garnicht in Erinnerung, selbst das eigentlich hässliche GTA4 sieht da Welten schöner aus.

Stark, Grey - das Design ist umwerfend cool. Ich bin Gestern mit EP² angefangen - Source sieht einfach in so vielen Teilbereichen wunderschön aus, imho.

*Das Game ist imho ein absoluter Geniestreich. Pure Action, anspruchsvolle Taktiken und intelligente Spielmodi. Für mich ist ET:QW ein absoluter Farbtrip. Der Charme des Quakeuniversums und der Umstand, dass zwei Spezien mit unterschiedlichen Technologien gegeneinander antreten, bilden für mich das Sahnehäubchen*

Danke, werde ich machen. Ich bin momentan nur ziemlich eingeschränkt beim Zocken. ;(

Die Schiene ist immer noch oder besser gesagt wieder drauf. :(

Zusätzlich gibts das Problem, dass ich bisher nur mit zwei Tools erfolgreich Screenshots in diesen hohen Auflösungen (gerendert wird in 2988x2100) machen kann - EVGA Precision und GameCam. Beim ersteren gibts ein kaputtes Radar, beim zweiteren muss ich schon zwei Tasten gleichzeitig für Bilder betätigen. Fraps war da viel praktischer. Man konnte es so einstellen, dass jede Sekunde ein Bild geknipst wird und brauchte sich praktisch um nichts mehr kümmern, zumindest in Bewegung. Dummerweise ist Fraps bei mir auf nur 1920x1200 beschränkt.

Mir gefallen die BZ2 shots.

Danke. Ist in jedem Fall eine schöne Engine und aus den aktuellen Builds kann man auch technisch einiges raus holen.

ETQW schickt optisch auch richtig. Finde es allerdings sehr schwierig, das Spiel statisch fest zu halten.

Leider scheint der FOV-Befehl nicht zu funktionieren ... HUD und Hände aber gehen weg.

r_drawviewmodel 0 geht bei mir nicht...

ja BZ2 ist vom 1999 win98 spiel und es sieht immer noch sehr gut aus. Einer der hauptprogrammier erweitert das spiel inoffiziel immer noch. zB, höchauflösende texturen und unterstützung MSAA und extra maps und vista kompatibilität und auch multiplayer support usw. Also mir macht es sehr spass nach 9 jahren nochmal das spiel auf vista64 spielen zu können :)
Genauso wie bei Freespace 2. das sind spiele die nie sterben :)

Klar. Ich meine das aber als gesamtes Kunstwerk. Diese riesige, lebendige Stadt, das Wettersystem, Tag/Nacht-Wechsel, die absolut geniale Physik etc. Das Game muss man einfach selbst gespielt haben, mit Bildern lässt sich die Faszination nicht erklären.

Dummerweise braucht man für diese AA-Qualität extrem viel GPU-Leistung. Ich schätze mal das Bild entstand in mindestens 7600x4072 Pixel. Solche Auflösung flüssig (ca. 40-50fps) schon alleine in Crysis zu bekommen dürfte erst mit der nächsten, "echten" Generation nach dem GT300 (2012?) möglich sein. Ich möchte aber nicht wissen wieviel höher die GPU-Last bei diesen Szenen hier war. X-D

Aber schön zu sehen wohin die Reise geht. =)

So brutal hoch, dürfte die GPU-Last garnicht gewesen sein. Der Poygoncount sieht sogar relativ niedrig aus. Die Cryengine ist einfach mächtig, und die grafische Qualität steigt und fällt allein mit dem Können des Designers. Mit der Cryengine3 wird dann auch Indirect Lighting unterstützt und wenn die Usability des Sandboxeditors auch noch ein bisschen verbessert wird, dann spricht eigentlich nix mehr gegen eine umfassende Lizensierung von anderen ISV.

Hast aber schon recht, von perfekt ist es noch weit entfernt. Sagen wir mal so - es ist für mich jetzt erträglich. GTA IV müsste MSAA bieten. Mit Downsampling + 4xMSAA wäre das Bild glatt wie ein Babypopo denke ich. :D

Auf einer NV habe ich es nicht hinbekommen. Ist jetzt aber egal, dank Downsampling habe ich nicht nur Kantenglättung sondern das gesamte Bild wird geglättet. Außerdem habe ich mit 2988x2100 praktisch 32xAF. :D
Downsampling ist zwar relativ teuer (Timeshift läuft damit grenzwertig, Frames liegen bei ~30-60fps) der BQ-Zugewinn ist es mir aber wert. Zur Not kann ich ja noch auf 2496x1600 runter. Der GT300 wirds dann richten. ;)

Downsampling ist zwar relativ teuer (Timeshift läuft damit grenzwertig, Frames liegen bei ~30-60fps) der BQ-Zugewinn ist es mir aber wert. Zur Not kann ich ja noch auf 2496x1600 runter. Der GT300 wirds dann richten. ;)
Kleine Korrektur, es ist wunderbar spielbar - ~40-75fps. GameCam hat das Game ganz schön gebremst. Dabei hat Timeshift eine eigene Screenshot-Funktion. :hammer:
Lustig ist aber die Dateigröße - dank BMP-Format 18MB je Bild. :D

hab das Game auch schon länger und muss es mal wieder rauskramen. Wenn mir noch jemand sagen könnte, wie man mit XP32 und der GTX260 so genial downsamplen kann dann wäre ich glücklich. Den Link auf den anderen Thread habe ich gesehen, Dargo.

Ich habe mir mal jetzt paar Bilder in 1680x1050 @840x525 von Wolverine angesehen. So in etwa würde es dann bei mir aussehen, nur halt in groß. Ich weiß nur nicht ob mich das Game anspricht. Das sieht mir schon nach viel Hektik aus. :D Schauen wir mal, vielleicht später. :)

Gerade weil hier kein Antialiasing funktioniert macht sich Downsampling gut bemerkbar.

Sehr gut, müßte auch bei Dead Space gut kommen :D

Kein AA bei Timeshift? Ich hatte das mal mit der HD3870 laufen, allerdings hat 4*AA schon derbe die Frames gedrückt.

Nein da geht kein AA mit ATI ;)

Die Performance ist immer noch mit ca. 45-85fps (gut... ab und zu sinds auch 140fps, in Aufzügen spielt das aber keine Rolle :cool:) mit diesen Settings hervorragend. :up:
