Hi there,
der fünfte RC liegt bei Infogrames fürs Review bereit. Die Jungs scheinen also gut im Zeitplan zu liegen.

Chris Hargrove:Release Candidates are the results of the final stages of our Beta process. When we feel it's time, we begin at RC0 and then go through a QA testing cycle to determine the critical issues for RC1, and then repeat until at some point we're ready to submit one of the RCs to the publisher for potential approval (in this case, it was RC5). From this point, more RCs can potentially be created if serious enough issues warrant it and the process repeats, otherwise the RC becomes Gold Master and goes to distribution. This whole process rarely lasts more than a couple weeks.
I wasn't sure if/when Glen would say that we hit RC status, but now that he has, you can pretty much assume what that means with regards to how close we are to completion. ;)
And realize that once we do go Gold, there is still some time required to manufacturer and distribute copies of the game, so don't assume that the game will show up on stores the very next day or anything like that. All you can assume is that once we hit Gold, any newly announced release dates are going to start getting pretty reliable.
