Gibt mal wieder ne neue offizielle Version des Benchmarks!

For starters, we updated the benchmark with revision 1913 of the x264 encoder, and CPU-Z 1.57. The new x264 encoder supports the following features :
8x8 and 4x4 adaptive spatial transform
Adaptive B-frame placement
B-frames as references / arbitrary frame order
CAVLC/CABAC entropy coding
Custom quantization matrices
Intra: all macroblock types (16x16, 8x8, 4x4, and PCM with all predictions)
Inter P: all partitions (from 16x16 down to 4x4)
Inter B: partitions from 16x16 down to 8x8 (including skip/direct)
Interlacing (MBAFF)
Multiple reference frames
Ratecontrol: constant quantizer, constant quality, single or multipass ABR, optional VBV
Scenecut detection
Spatial and temporal direct mode in B-frames, adaptive mode selection
Parallel encoding on multiple CPUs
Predictive lossless mode
Psy optimizations for detail retention (adaptive quantization, psy-RD, psy-trellis)
Zones for arbitrarily adjusting bitrate distribution

Du hast 8 Prozent mehr FSB- und CPU-Takt, dafür habe ich 11 Prozent mehr RAM-Takt + minimal bessere Timings. Am Ende ist dein Yorkfield trotzdem 14 Prozent schneller. :)
Alles klar ;) - nice - die Pass 2 Werte dürften mit einem Quad derzeit nicht zu erreichen sein.
Mit einer 8-Thread-Sandy, die mindestens unter Wasser und mit mindestens 5,5 GHz läuft ... könnte das klappen. ;)

Mein Speicher rennt absolut niedrig- daher sind meine Golfstadtwerte nur das MINIMUM ;)
4 Core SB kann Golfi nicht einholen ;)
8 Core SB wird Golfi natürlich zernichten :D
Was aber auch schon wieder wayne ist, da ja heutzutage alles auf nem smartphone lauffähig sein muß :uhammer:

Nö, mit 5Ghz und 1600er Ram reicht es nicht.
Das ist 2000er-RAM. ;) Wobei der Speicher im Pass 2 weniger Gewicht hat als die CPU-Kraft.

Wenn du mich damit meinst, dann schau in meine Signatur.
Deine Signatur ist vielleicht schon im Juli veraltet und der Posting damit für die Katz. Ich wollte dich nur darauf hinweisen, dass der Aufwand, das ins Posting zu schreiben, sich in Grenzen hält. Du verstehst das gewiss. :)

Pass 1 ist doch nicht so wichtig. Die wahre Geschwindigkeit der CPUs sieht man im Pass 2.
Der Bulldozer (45 fps laut Tests bei 3,2 GHz) dürfte schon mit leichtem Overclocking die 50 fps des auf 5 GHz laufenden i7-2600k knacken können, bin schon sehr gespannt.

Pass 1 ist schlichter schlechter parallelisierbar. Hier führen CPUs mit besserer pro-Thread Leistung, im Pass 2 dagegen die Kernmonster.

Da ich selber täglich mehrere H264-Videos im 1 Pass-Quality Modus enkodiere, ist für mich der zweite Wert entscheidender. Beim Enkodieren von Videos sind die AMD-Prozessoren brauchbar, da ist selbst ein billiger Athlon X4 schneller als jeder Core i3. :)

Die alte Diskussion von wegen 2-Pass vs. 1-Pass CRF ;) Für mich persönlich zählt auch eher der 2. Durchgang (also das wirkliche Encoding) als der "Ich schau mal nach, was da so kommt" 1st Pass, da ich auch nur CRF benutze. Trotzdem brutal was die Schlampe bringt X-D

Der Dothan hat natürlich deutlich mehr Macht pro Takt, aber der Abstand ist geringer als in vielen anderen Anwendungen. Immerhin zieht der Barton dank des 35 Prozent höheren Taktes um 19 Prozent davon. Gegen den Singlecore-Xeon/i7 @ 2 GHz (http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=8793013&postcount=35) sieht der Barton aber kein Land.

In dem Fall ja, obwohl ich mir nicht wirklich sicher bin, wieso ein Zacate-Kern in etwa genauso schnell ist wie ein Palomino-Kern mit 1,6 GHz, aber 2 Zacate-Kerne "nur" so schnell wie ein Barton mit 2,8.
Eigentlich sollte der Multithreading-Verschnitt nicht soooo groß sein, dass er etwa 3,2Ghz-2,8Ghz=400 Mhz entspricht?!?!
Ich hätte damit gerechnet, dass er in etwa so schnell ist wie ein Barton mit etwa 3Ghz :confused:
Das sind ja dann doch etwa 10% differenz zu meinen Erwartungen.

Aber man sieht wie starkt die Sandies sind, selbst ohne HT (4 Threads) schlagen sie die alten Lynfields mit HT (8Threads).
