Can anyone get Control to work with MGPU in DX12? I tried forcing CFR but it crashes on load with "Device Removed" error.
CFR in DX11 'works' but has visual artifacts - can see checkerboard during gameplay so it's pretty much useless.

This is due to DLSS which is in current form not compatible with CFR , similar as in Metro Exodus already... so you have to disable DLSS in the display-/graphics-settings.

I tried with For Honor and Ghost Recon Wildlands profile because they share the same archytecture but the result was awful

If you could help me with this profile the new mount & Blade II: Bannerlord game that is optimized but I want it to be better. On the other hand, I have seen that in games like Assasincreed you cannot put sli in the same way, the performance is reduced as 5% and when I deactivate the SLi in that game it increases about 5 to 4 fps more than it should.

Is CFR back? I noticed Blaire has removed his line about CFR not available in latest drivers on the CFR game list. Still stuck on 441.xx for CFR and would be happy to update if its available in latest version.
Blaire
2020-04-10, 21:35:30
Yes I had updated the CFR compatibility-list (https://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=8881192&postcount=43) during this week, and yes CFR still works furthermore with current 445.78 drivers, but concerns compatibility nothing has changed.
Regarding your question, whether CFR mode will still work with the next driver family 45x.xx (WDDM 2.7) and beyond, or NVIDIA has other plans for it, we have to wait and see what happens.

Thanks Blaire. Does that mean CFR support was never dropped since 441 branch?

Hi,
For those looking for working SLI profile for the Apex Legends. My setup is 2x2080Ti and I found 0x080000F5 compatibility bits working fine with SFR mode (up to 10% scaling) and AFR mode (up to 80% scaling). In case of AFR you need to reduce in-game option "SPOT SHADOW DETAIL" to high, otherwise you will encounter massive artifacts and stuttering while being in the lobby. All other settings may be set to the maximum.
Profile's adjustments for AFR:

Hey,
Some findings for Apex Legends and Borderlands 3 in the 2x2080Ti SLI setup with NVIDIA drivers 445.75. NVCP V-Sync and G-Sync enabled.
Apex Legends (AFR, up to 80% more FPS vs single 2080Ti):
In game option: "SPOT SHADOW DETAIL" needs to be set to "High" or lower. The "Very High" option gives artifacts and stuttering in the Lobby.
SLI Compatibility Bits (DX10+DX11): 0x080000F5
Maximum pre-rendered frames: 1
Vertical Sync: Force on
Vertical Sync Smooth AFR behaviour: On
Number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering mode: 0x00000002 SLI_GPU_COUNT_TWO
NVIDIA predefined number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering mode on DirectX 10: 0x00000002 SLI_PREDEFINED_GPU_COUNT_DX10_TWO
NVIDIA predefined SLI mode on DirectX 10: 0x00000000 SLI_PREDEFINED_MODE_DX10_AUTOSELECT
Apex Legends (SFR, up to 8-10% more FPS vs single 2080Ti):
If AFR does not work for you, you may go for SFR. Not shocking FPS increase, but load distributed into 2 GPUs gives less heat and higher NVIDIA Boost clocks.
No restrictions on "SPOT SHADOW DETAIL" option as in AFR mode.
SLI Compatibility Bits (DX10+DX11): 0x080000F5
Maximum pre-rendered frames: 1
Vertical Sync: Force on
Vertical Sync Smooth AFR behaviour: On
Number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering mode: 0x00000002 SLI_GPU_COUNT_TWO
NVIDIA predefined number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering mode: 0x00000002 SLI_PREDEFINED_GPU_COUNT_TWO

NVIDIA predefined SLI mode on DirectX 10: 0x00000004 SLI_PREDEFINED_MODE_DX10_FORCE_SFR
SLI rendering mode: 0x00000004 SLI_RENDERING_MODE_FORCE_SFR
Borderlands 3
The SFR settings gives 30% FPS increase without any restrictions on graphics options. Tested with "Badass" ultra settings on everything.
SLI Compatibility Bits (DX10+DX11): 0x080000F5
Maximum pre-rendered frames: 2

@7empe: SFR no longer working (applies to DirectX 10 and higher!) with current NVIDIA drivers, SFR has been replaced by new CFR mode some time ago! -> https://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=12144578&postcount=3586
This is what you see in the games mentioned. Also AFR and CFR don't work as hybrid-mode simultaneously with each other, only separately. Please don't post such profiles, if you’re not sure or don’t know what you’re doing.
And VSync Smooth AFR have no effect in combination with G-Sync (VRR) this option only works for older monitors at a fixed refresh rate... btw. :)

Thanks for clarification! Well, I was trying to get those two games working in the SLI mode as I had issues with older profiles published by the community. When I got to point that game did not produce artifacts and noticed performance increase I assumed (probably wrong) that my profiles are sane thus wanted to share :)
I've heard about CFR, hower SFR mode name confused me a bit... Thanks for input on that matter!
Cheers!

No worry, it is indeed somewhat confusing, I was preferred not to add any recommendations or new profile-updates for CFR to the existing AFR-profiles here in the SLI-thread, as long this new CFR-mode is not yet officially supported. There are still too many open questions, also concerning the general game-compatibility, driver-/software-improvements/-restrictions etc.
Has anyone got a working SLI profile for Escape From Tarkov?

You are sure, the is no CPU-limitation or something? You are using two RTX 2080Ti's?

I’m using 2 2080 Tis and an i9 10980XE.
As usual, you are right. There was a massive CPU bottleneck caused by the unoptimised Screen Space Reflections setting in the game.
After disabling SSRs, my GPU usage jumped up to the 90s.
The game looks good, but performance is not amazing. I hover between the 60 and the 90 FPS, but I had to lower HBAO to high.
I don’t think that the graphics quality justifies the performance requirements.

Good Day Everyone!!
This is a Dx11 Sli profile for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
This is a 100% working profile with about 95-100% increase in Fps when launching Halo with anti cheat mode disabled.
When launching regular halo with anti cheat enabled you will see anywhere from 50%-80% increase in Fps. This is due to the anti cheat hogging resources and only allowing the gpu's to get to 80% usage in some scenarios.
I fixed this issue with launching halo in regular anti cheat mode and figured out what is causing all the issues with anti cheat. Ok first anti cheat is causing halo to run on default windows settings for dpi scaling and full screen optimizations. I figured this out by unchecking disable fullscreen optimizations and launching the game in anti cheat mode disabled. I got around the same fps as launching the game normally so it shows the game is not responding to disabling full screen optimizations when launching in anti cheat mode thus not having true exclusive fullscreen resulting in 80% max usages.
To fix this you must edit the registry to disable Full Screen Optimizations Globally which allows Halo to launch in True Exclusive Fullscreen Mode with anti cheat mode enabled allowing full usages.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore]
"GameDVR_FSEBehaviorMode"=dword:00000002
"GameDVR_HonorUserFSEBehaviorMode"=dword:00000001
"GameDVR_FSEBehavior"=dword:00000002
"GameDVR_DXGIHonorFSEWindowsCompatible"=dword:00000001
Anti cheat mode still eats up alot of cpu usage and will still bottleneck you at high fps 100+ in certain areas and the game in general for Halo CE is extremely cpu demanding and is more gpu demanding than Reach.
But this does fix a mass amount of stuttering and lag in both reach and ce. This also seems to fix mouse input as well. Usages max out the same now in both launch modes at 8k ultrawide. Anti cheat mode enabled being slightly cpu bottlenecked at 5k ultrawide 100+ fps.
Doing this fullscreen fix also strait up gives better fps than the pictures below as well as fixes almost all issues I was having with the menus at 8k ultrawide in Sli specifically.
I also managed to fix the anistropic filtering, lod bias and Texture filtering Quality by completely overriding all via nvidia control panel. The lod bias set default by the game is 0% but its really bad shimmering on objects and needs a higher positive lod set via control panel in conjunction with overriding anistropic filtering because they are tied together in the game thus you need to edit both at the same time. If you dont you can get really bad texture lod.
This partially fixes character stuttering using unlimited framerate!! It smooths the transition of the so called double framing that was said to be how they got unlocked fps in the first place.
This also removes alot of stuttering due to the texture lod being improper and making character models twitch at high fps.
It makes the game look beautiful.
This is for max quality and fixes all Texture LOD issues but all have to be used together.
Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling 0x00000008 AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL (This must be set for LOD bias to override)
Anisotropic filtering HQ Fix On
Anisotropic filtering mode User-defined / Off
Anisotropic filtering setting 16x
Prevent Anisotropic filtering Off
Texture Filtering - Anisotropic filter optimization Off
Texture Filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization Off
Texture Filtering - Driver Controlled LOD Bias On
Texture Filtering - LOD bias (DX) +1.125
Texture Filtering - Negative LOD bias Clamp
Texture Filtering - Quality High Quality
Texture Filtering - Trilinear optimization Off
Enabling FXAA via nvidia control panel is 100% recommended as its the only way to get rid of jaggies other than using reshade even at 6880x2880.
This is just icing on top and can clean up the picture more.
Toggle FXAA on or off On
To get the game to detect over 60 hz when running unlimited framerate sometimes without doing exclusive fullscreen fix refresh rate can be set in nvidia control panel.
Prefered Refreshrate Highest available
Disable Fullscreen Opimization's and Override High Dpi Scaling Behavior to application by right clicking on the .exe and going to compatibility tab as shown in the video.
Disabling Hyperthreading can increase Fps in Cpu bottlenecked areas by only a couple fps but does reduce stuttering I find on cpu side.
These are launching Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Steam with anti cheat mode disabled at 6880x2880 DSR 0% smoothing, Enhanced Graphic Settings, 120 fov, vsync disabled.

Another SLI update for Insurgency: Sandstorm
I would like to post another SLI update to the UE4 based military shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm.
As of the latest patch I found a better solution, which doesn't result in any negative scaling in any part of the game.
Combining the "0x000000F1" profile with setting "0x00A06746" to "0x00010120" gives the desired result.
However this profile does introduce some objective icon and shadow flickering issues.
For this reason G-Sync is recommended when using the custom profile.
Testing was done using maximum settings at native 3840x2160@60Hz resolution with TAA enabled.
NVLink users only need "0x000000F1" on its own, and can get away with disabling the additional SLI hacks.
I have attached a downloadable .zip archive to this post with .nip files for both legacy SLI and NVLink users ;)

Moin,

Hey guys,
I'm building a new system with 2x RTX2080Ti GPUs and I've been reading about CFR lately. I read in this thread that at some point the CFR mode was removed from the newer drivers. Is this still the case?
I've last used SLI many years ago (GTX6xx/GTX7xx) so my SLI skills are quite rusty...

That's correct. You need to use 0x00000002 compatibility bits and SFR as rendering mode (yeah, I know - name is misleading). CFR works fine with titles where you can't get AFR to work properly. I've managed to run CFR on Apex Legends, Fortnite. It works also with Borderlands 3, but here you can get better results with AFR. Still however CFR does not work with DX12. At least I am not able to use it with my 2x2080Ti setup.

CFR works with DX12 in Metro Exodus (even with ray tracing enabled). One of the distinguishing features of CFR is DX12 support. Works on some other games as well such as DMC5. Blaire has an excellent list for CFR support in this forum.

Just downloaded and tried importing both .nip files on my own system, and "F1" is indeed set for both variants, with only the undefined "10120" value set for the legacy profile.
You must be importing an older version I think.

Only one Option is fine, either via SLI compatibility bits OR the SLI rendering-mode, but it can happen that the SLI rendering-mode alone does not work, because some apps/games rely on driver-optimizations, so also the SLI compatibility bits should be added too. For the most use cases preferred Option >> SLI Compatibility Bits! <<
CFR supports DirectX12, but yes it is true, overall compatibility is still behind expectations, Unreal Engine 4 based titles are not yet supported. But there are also some positive examples...

"GameDVR_FSEBehaviorMode"=dword:00000002
"GameDVR_HonorUserFSEBehaviorMode"=dword:00000001
"GameDVR_FSEBehavior"=dword:00000002
"GameDVR_DXGIHonorFSEWindowsCompatible"=dword:00000001

Texture Filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization Off
Texture Filtering - Driver Controlled LOD Bias On
Texture Filtering - LOD bias (DX) +1.125

Enabling FXAA via nvidia control panel is 100% recommended as its the only way to get rid of jaggies other than using reshade even at 6880x2880.
This is just icing on top and can clean up the picture more.
Toggle FXAA on or off On
To get the game to detect over 60 hz when running unlimited framerate sometimes without doing exclusive fullscreen fix refresh rate can be set in nvidia control panel.

Good day,
The reg edit effects all games supported by game DVR. So yes this can effect all games that are ran in windows that are listed in child section in reg edit.
There is a way to do each app individually.
Example the forest benefits from this as well aka forcing fullscreen. There are probably alot of games that benefit from this while trying to force sli. This is more specific to games not reading from the other registry entry where the disable fullscreen ops actually is listed. I found another entry as well that effects sli and can be used to fix shadow and texture glitches in sli. Almost always gain performance in all scenarios.

Yes I can confirm that, have you notice any other glitches or performance-issues while further gameplay and CFR enabled?
Also AFR-mode seems better compatible with new upgraded IW Engine compared to previous CoD titles (no flaws so far...) But I haven't finished the campaign yet.

No glitches besides menu flicker so far (haven't finished campaign though). I always prefer CFR in shooters as it feels lower on input lag and more responsive.

Heyo I could yes but it requires custom .ini for compatibility. To fix all distant dynamic shadowing on trees aka sky light the dir shadows need to be reduced to 3000 period. I have not been able to find the specific setting in the .exe to fix this but reducing to 3000 fixes all distant shadowing as it turns it off. Keep shadowing at max 120000. Everything else is max. To fix water must set 0 or 1 for water filter. I'll be making a profile soon if I can solve periodic crashing in sli.

I see. Yeah I made that change and it fixes the flickering. It didn't really make much visual difference to me as I had fDirShadowDistance down to 5000 already because the engine chokes hard on the preset values and cuts GPU utilization even on a single card.
I'm testing with the standard bits from Fallout 4 pared down to 2 cards only; 0x080000F1. I haven't experienced any crashes yet. It does get up to 99/98 in certain weather but typically utilization is not great outside. Still SLI provides greater overhead in scenes that warrant it.
Hopefully your bits work out a bit better.

Greetings - couple things, first, thanks so much for taking the time to write this up and share the NIP file, much appreciated. I was able to follow your instructions, install the NIP file and get it working in SLI. Like you, I have (2) 1080 Ti cards as well.
I tested with Halo 1 and it worked great, but on Halo 2 with the same settings, there is a lot of flickering in certain areas (appears to be shadows) - are you having any issues with Halo 2 SLI? Would love to get it working if possible and so would appreciate any advice you have. Thanks again!

In my result, here is what I found. No more chopping light of lantern, candle. No more flick on sky, rocks, trees, mountain. Less bandwidth(can be used with SLI at x8 mode on some mainboards, only worthy with x16 lanes), more scaling(50% more than my previous profile).

Monitor is SONY KD-75Z9D 4K TV @ HDMI port 2.
Resolution is 4K (3840 x 2160).
All parameters are set to the highest. No external plugins.
On Windows 7, it doesn't work. FPS is the same as a single GTX1070 - 31 FPS.
On Windows 10 1709, it works. FPS increased to 38 FPS. But seriously glitched on moving characters.
(It's not a graphical problem, but looks like a slide show even it was showed as 38 FPS.)
The X99 motherboard is ASRock X99M Killer 3.1.
BIOS version is 4.01 - it patched Spectre etc. & updated CPU microcode. Is it incompatible with Win10 1709?

You can see a good profile for dragon quest xi in page 148 of this forum
But my quoted profile's date was already the latest.
(Update)
It seems that the problem definitely comes from my build.
Possible reasons:
(1) ASRock X99M Killer 3.1's BIOS 4.01 (Spectre patched & microcode updated) vs Windows 10 1709 (Spectre unpatched & microcode not updated)
(2) I use one-side SLI bridge instead of two-side SLI bridge (because I don't own a 2-slot two-side SLI bridge)
(3) I use Borderless mode instead of Windowed and Fullscreen
(Update 2)
Thanks Blaire helping me find out the reason!
The most probable reasons seem to be (2) SLI bridge and (3) Borderless mode.
I’ll update this when I’m available to rebuild the SLI environment.

Not sure. I'd say check on Steam messageboards and ask. Worst case, the "other" copy is out on the web I believe, so you could always test that one first before pulling the trigger on a purchase just to make sure mgpu support is in the game.

Hey
The registry hack will allow about 20% more usage on both cards. So without this specific hack then you are loosing out on 20% of your max fps outright because of independent flip (Thanks blair!) So this kinda answers your question on performance. You can see this by using frameview application.
Disabling dpi scaling is not to increase performance at all. Disabling dpi scaling and setting it to override application allows the application to set the window to whatever you select in-game aka same resolution as the rendering resolution. Some applications will default your WINDOW SIZE to your native resolution not RENDERING RESOLUTION selected in-game.
This can cause issues when using DSR specifically up-scaling games especially older games that are not coded very well. All this bypasses bad coding essentially lol.
Example
My window is stuck at 3440x1440 and im trying to render ingame to 6880x2880. I can only see about quarter of the top left of the game with the rest going offscreen making the game unplayable.
This still can fix other issues as well at native rendering allowing overlays to work properly sometimes or other weird anomalies.
Also sometimes this can cause games not to launch or break lol testing is needed individually for each game.

I always been disapointed by this game performance and though of SLI support but...nothing comes.
Today i try to make a profile but i need help to see if it possible to improve i want to share it.
I almost have the game at stable 60fps@2160p (max settings) but the cards are always above 94% loading and maybe there is a way to improve something.
Thanks a lot for help.
Here is the link to Nvidia Inspector .nip file
EDIT i change the link
https://drive.google.com/open?id=13yQKmF5l6CF8yMR0zZ1pKR9HBfTJPcLp
(Today i start a new game on "definitive edition" and i get artefacts in the sky during night parts (the first one at beginning with crocodiles after intro), i activate Vsync in game parameters to "yes" and in Nvidia control panel on "adaptative" in 3D settings @2160p to try to regulate @60fps and there is no artefacts anymore) so strange...

Hello Friend
Excellent that you want to support the community with your SLi profile. I'm going to try it. I will download the game today and confirm if your SLI works well. Keep it up my friend, we need more people with encouragement to create SLi profiles. Now if someone updates the PUGB profile I would really appreciate it: D Blessings to all.

test your sli profile is perfect you are going to 99% am both gpus at 100 fps but there is a small and tiny problem and it is when I shoot with any weapon a kind of flash with some textures comes out but it is short and only when you shoot. I hope you can solve that and others support you but this perfect brother continues like this.

No, there are several glitches with AFR occur, it doesn't matter if the main-game or the definitive edition of Mafia III. If there was a solution, we would already have it listed.

0x080000F5 scale really fine but the only bug is the vegetation collision when this bits is used, the plants rollings on infinite when the player push them.
when is used the sli broadcast : "0x00000001" with the sli bits "0x080000F5" the vegetation problem is fixed but i have half FPS near 50 fps
EDIT: BLAIRE help me to found a solution, but i m waiting the steam version, Windows Store version doesnt have exclusive fullscreen.

SLI information for Mafia II: Definitive Edition
I did some SLI testing in the recently released Mafia II: Definitive Edition.
Here the only solution is to use "0x000020F1" combined with setting "0x00A06746" to a value of "0x00010000".
I noticed no problems at all with this custom profile when playing at native 3840x2160@60Hz resolution using maximum settings and with 8xMSAA and SMAA enabled.
"Chromatic Aberration" and "Vignette" was disabled during testing due to personal preference.

Hello, I'm once again asking if anyone with Turing NVLink has messed around with VR, besides the one guy with the Valve Index (thank you!).
VR requires high resolution and low frame times much more than flat screen gaming, and it is a tragedy that Oculus API and SteamVR disable AFR/AFR2 at a binary level due to latency concerns.
The important thing to test is SteamVR direct mode vs non direct mode, and with native Oculus API. It would then be nice to see tests in different games (DX11, DX12, even DX10). VorpX. Etc.
Google translated to German:
VorpX. Usw.

Hi!
Quick question regarding Turing cards. Is that still the case that NVIDIA driver 446.14 has CFR hidden under 0x00000002 compatibility bits and "SFR" SLI mode? If not, then is it SFR then?
What happens when I use e.g. 0x080000F5 bits and SFR as SLI mode. Is it true SFR?
I am asking because I can observe positive scaling in some games using the above bits, but both gives similar performance, therefore I am not sure the current status of the CFR mode.
Thanks in advance,

Updated SLI information for Conan Exiles
Did some SLI testing in the latest version of Conan Exiles, and would like to post an update to my original SLI guide for the game: 3DCenter SLI thread (#3131) (https://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=11903727&postcount=3131)
The SLI solution remains basically unchanged, namely to use 0x200002F1 combined with setting 0x00A0694B to 0x00000001 and 0x00A06746 to 0x00010000.
However there are no longer issues with not achieving full performance right after loading your savegame, so I suspect the developers did something to improve the texture streaming system of the game.
Testing was once again done at native 3840x2160@60Hz resolution with maximum settings and G-Sync enabled.
On my system it is still necessary to reduce Effects Quality to High and AA to x2 to avoid running into a bandwidth limit in PCIe 3.0 x16/x16 mode.
But I found no other issues with the above SLI profile.

Yes, SFR has been replaced by CFR mode, which it means for all DirectX 10/11/12 games! SFR still works furthermore for DirectX9 and older (unofficial!) with the same driver-flags.
Please consider, only AFR as SLI render mode is still officially supported by NVIDIA. Starting with the next 451.xx Game ready drivers CFR will no longer work this way anymore, 446.14 are the last supported driver for Turing cards!
What happens when I use e.g. 0x080000F5 bits and SFR as SLI mode. Is it true SFR?
SLI rendering mode have always highest priority, no matter if with or without SLI compatibility bits.

Thank you Blair for information. What does it mean that 446.14 is the last driver for Turings? Does it mean that newer drivers will not deliver any support for e.g. 2080 Ti? Does it also mean that I cannot expect any new SLI profiles in future?

This was only referred to the CFR functionality in upcoming NVIDIA graphics drivers v451.xx and higher and is therefore no longer available for Turing cards, so the 446.14 at least for the time being the last driver with CFR-mode support. If you have further questions send me a PM.

No, and currently it is impossible. the devs doesnt add the mGPU support for the DX12 version.
And on DX11 version, forcing SLI is really unstable

Hi folks,
Have been using Kamiccolo's Borderlands 3 profile on a pair of Titan X (Pascal) cards with great success (apart from truly funky colours when in Sanctuary) up until today. However, with the new 451.48 drivers and HAGS enabled, I'm getting crashing in fullscreen mode - as soon as fullscreen is selected, about one frame of the confirmation dialogue popup box renders before the image freezes (sound continues in the background). Windowed and borderless work fine, as does single-GPU mode, but performance and scaling is obviously much worse. With HAGS disabled on the same driver package all is fine, so it's pretty clear where the problem lies.
Kamiccolo, any chance you could take another look at the game with HAGS enabled? Your earlier efforts are much appreciated! :)

Heyo
I'll give it a try when I get back home next week. I just installed the hags as well before I left. I'll see what's going on with borderlands. As well there is new sli bits that work really well. Try 0x282000f5 I think.
You could try forcing exclusive fullscreen like halo. Also make sure your windows is fully updated as it could screw with the latest driver.

CFR has been removed with recent 451.xx NVIDIA drivers, at least for now, you have to rolling back to driver-version 446.14 if you would use CFR further. That's all I can tell you right now.

@Blaire your PM box is full - I can't send you PMs FYI.

For anyone, like myself, who is still clutching onto a driver where CFR has not been removed, I'll just throw it out there that CFR works beautifully with the latest x64/DX11 update for TERA Online.
I sure hope CFR makes a return in the near future, even if it stays hidden and experimental while they work out any issues.

Good Afternoon All.
Sorry i have been dormant (to Blaire in particular), on top of the apocalypse we all experienced i have had some personal issues with family.
@ Blaire I completed DBZ Kakarot with the help of your profile. I can upload with your consent, it works with DLC 1 as well and i will test with the upcoming DLC 2. Thank you for your help with it!
I am a flight tester for Halo ODST, and can confirm on the campaign at least Blaire's Profile works wonderfully. Utilisation sits fairly low however i think i can attribute this to my frame limiter.
Frametimes and FPS are fantastic with no dips or spikes above 16ms.
Currently experimenting with Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 as from what I understand it is running DX11. Will update if requested or if i have success, though I imagine more qualified people in this forum will notify if it works.
FYI For RDR2 i had raised a ticket with Rockstar Level 3 "Vlad G. Rockstar Support | Tier 3" for the Vulkan SLI flicker i experienced, can confirm that the subsequent patches have worked and card utilisation is decent. For those worried about SLI for RDR2 it worked when i last tried it, though as per the latest release notes there are still issues:
[SLI][Red Dead Redemption 2]: With SLI enabled, the game may crash with ERR_GFX_STATE
error pointing to nvlddmkm.sys after pressing [Alt]+[Tab].[3083589]
[SLI][G-SYNC][Red Dead Redemption 2 Vulkan]: With SLI + G-SYNC enabled, the games
display corruption and a blank screen.[200645671]
Wishing everyone well,

Don't worry. Indeed there is currently not much activity from my side, because there not many interesting games were released or newer API's will be used, which make it impossible to provide new SLI profiles.
I don't had the time for testing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 yet, but I can try to help. Based on your screenshot-graph it does not really look like Halo ODST is scaling well on your system, but yeah let's better discuss such things better via private message.

Hi, bezgl.

I have been using nvidia inspector for optimising the SLI experience. Was confused about the 3090 SLI status, as well.
What's the use of NVLink if nVidia is only targeting explicit SLI?
Is there no way to force existing SLI profiles?
Bit confused cuzI got make a buying decision.
Thanks.

Existing SLI driver profiles will continue to be tested and maintained for SLI-ready RTX 20 Series and earlier GPUs.
For GeForce RTX 3090 and future SLI-capable GPUs, SLI will only be supported when implemented natively within the game.
With an Nvlink of 3090s, we cant use old DX9, DX10 and DX11 SLI profiles??

Maybe Memory Pooling is the main reason to keep it for semi professionals...because releasing a game with explicit MGPU support is like having snow in the desert at day if you look at the sheer amount of those titles [14 in total right now and for maximum 3-4 it really does make sense in my opinion to go for 8K DSR and that a like].
It is really a pile of shame, having that massive bandwith now and even not supporting existing profiles unofficially at least. One RTX 3090 alone is no serious 8K card in most cases - when DLSS put aside. Because you want to see 60+ fps, not 30ish oder max. 40ish...or even less. So for extreme Gamers the 24GB of VRAM cannot be used seriously playing like a boss due to the lack of power.

Anybody here get SLI for Escape from Tarkov working?
SLI is very interesting for Tarkov because SLI is on by DEFAULT and has its own SLI bit from Nvidia, but only seems to function on two maps in the game. On both Labs and Factory, SLI seems to be working flawlessly, with both of my GPUs at max usage delivering great framerates. On ANY other map besides the two I mentioned, GPU usage drops down to 50% on both cards, and framerates dip LOWER than when SLI is disabled. The fact GPU usage is 50% on both cards leads me to believe that SLI is still functioning at some level, but is hindered by something in the game. I'm aware that the Unity engine isn't supposed to support SLI, but if that's true, why does it work just fine on two of the maps in the game? An interesting thing to note is that after digging around through Reddit forums, and some YouTube videos, it seems that SLI was functional on all of the maps at some point, so I have a feeling there might be a way to fix this from the user's end.

So far I haven't really found anything useful here.
You could use the basic 0x000000F1 profile in DX11 mode for the time being, and the game does scale decently enough.
Anything more "extreme" causes one problem or the other in my testing.
However there are framerate "recovery" problems when moving around the game world on my system, and texture streaming/stuttering issues under certain conditions.
Lack of VRAM is not the reason, since the problem does not occur in single GPU mode.
Perhaps the developers could fix this over time by improving the texture streaming system, no idea really.
These results are no big surprise really, considering my old post on Serious Sam 3: 3DCenter SLI thread (#2058) (https://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=10860863&postcount=2058)

Honestly I couldn't agree more with this.
It makes absolutely no sense to offer memory pooling and massive amounts of VRAM, and then bottleneck the whole thing with lack of GPU power :crazy2:
It is also a strange move to introduce NVLink and FINALLY solve the big bandwidth limitation of older legacy SLI systems, and then just throw in the towel in the very next generation of GPUs and essentially give up.
Technically speaking there is still DX12/Vulkan MGPU to fall back on, but in reality this is almost meaningless.

Evening,
For those interested I've tested Halo 4 with Blaire's profile and it works well. Inconsistent usage is likely local to my system as i didn't launch with fullscreen optimisations disabled as i was rushing, RTSS w CPU limiting and Gsync possibly contributing. As always results may vary, but looks good from the flight build, with maybe some excessive blooming and a keybinding issue dampening it which should be fixed on public release.
Wishing you all well,

Yes, and an unofficial support - just no more new profiles starting from next year - would have been no big deal, they could have done for all SLI enthusiasts out there - to enjoy the tons of old, good games in extreme settings never possible before - at least for Ampere.

Ok, it’s over then.
I bought a 3090 last month. I ordered another 3090 that was meant to arrive tomorrow, but, since SLI can’t even be used in older games, I cancelled the order.
This is the first year since 2012 that I don’t build a top end SLI system.
This is the end for now, but I hope that SLI comes back in some shape or form in the future. I do however think that, with technologies such as DLSS 2.0, SLI is becoming obsolete.

Morning All,
DBZ Kakarot SLI Profile
With the impending DLC 2 and patch 1.40 upcoming for DBZ Kakarot, i think it's time i let my OCD relax, stop tweaking and testing and share the following. On my twin 1070s 16X and 8X laptop i can push res scale 1.4 2160p with max settings on the following profile.
Believe still some slight alpha effect flicker, but not certain if this is inherent to the slow mo effect after defeating mobs in the game and unrelated to the profile as to my eye it looks the same/similar SLI ON/OFF (I could be blind).
As there is seemingly no official profile for the game, you have to manually add the final path in the binaries folder to the NV inspector. Direct import of the NIP won't work if you don't have exactly the same file-path so it should be installed to the same location, or copy and paste the bits over when you add your own location path in NV inspector. NIP will likely be for reference only unless you install to.....
c:\games\dragon ball z kakarot\at\binaries\win64\at-win64-shipping.exe
Disable full screen optimizations etc.
Many thanks go to Blaire for his guidance on this, and consultations. Hope his much deserved peace is going well.
P.S If anyone is experimenting with Ghostrunner, DX11 UE4 mode has heavy flicker on shooter game 0x080000F5 so seizure warning.

I've played around with CFR on 2080 Ti SLI setup with limited success, but it is generally very impressive. Some games like Exodus didn't work very well as they crash a lot and scaling is only like 1.35x, which isn't terrible vs not having SLI at all, but still.
I've had a lot of success with Dark Souls II SOFTS and Lord of the Rings Online.
In Dark Souls II the scaling is around 1.50x, though I have load the game with a lot of Reshade since by itself it is so undemanding that it is not possible to load even one GPU even with full DSR. Default profile for this game not only doesn't scale but also breaks the game.
In Lord of the Rings Online deafult AFR is very functional with up to 1.95x scaling, but it has some glitches with water physics. CFR solves that and has a great scaling of 1.70x, that's with 8xMSAA and 4xSGSSAA.
In general CFR feels so you get that you cannot even tell that you are running two cards. Input lag wise it feels even better than single card, probably since 99% load on single card causes exponential input lag increase while CFR spreads the load and seems to never reach 99% load of both cards, typically maxing at 95-94%.
I really don't understand why NVIDIA didn't follow up on that and ditched SLI instead. Generally the whole idea of ditching it including not supporting SLI is existing games that already have it just discgraceful. Whole point of PC is that you can play all games to the best of their ability at all times and that games have no expiration date, ditching already existing environment and leaving everything to date behind to focus solely on DX12 is a terrible, almost console-like move, absolutely disgraceful. Feature set is what set NVIDIA apart even in times when AMD was competitive, and now they deciding to slowly ditch their legacy.
It is really sad. I can run my 2080 Ti's for 2 more years but past that point it will all over with the way things look right now.

CFR does work, given that you are using the older driver with it enabled, but in my initial attempt it was choppy. I didn't know that CP2077 had TAA forced on, so perhaps that was the issue, and mods can now allow people to disable additional settings (such as TAA) that were previously hidden away (just look on the Nexus Mods CP2077 page). Unfortunately, I've decided to get a refund for the game until either the issues get fixed or it goes on sale, so I won't be spending $60 again just to further test if CFR can be properly utilized.

I really don't understand why NVIDIA didn't follow up on that and ditched SLI instead. Generally the whole idea of ditching it including not supporting SLI is existing games that already have it just discgraceful.
Well , it just would not have been justifiable any more, actually the only logical consequence as there was hardly any active multi gpu-support on part of the game-developers and the financial effort which the IHVs would no longer want to take on.
A brief note on Metro Exodus DX12 version-only, since last both patches for Sam's Story DLC worsen the performance and unfortunately prevents proper scaling with CFR in some places of the game, so I still use an older game version that scales well and is stable across the campaign, with both RTX 2080Ti @ CFR you can achieve similar performance-results as with fastest RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards.

Anybody try getting Doom Eternal running with SLI?
Also curious, but how are you guys figuring out what bits work with what games? I wouldn't mind learning how to optimize things myself, but I doubt there's a YouTube tutorial out there for that, not that I expect anyone here to teach me either.

Because each game is individually different and you can't evaluate this beforehand, which dependencies and workload and which of the individual steps for driver-AFR will necessary, there are several approaches and workarounds build on it.

Well I tried writing a small guide for this topic a couple years ago in connection with my NVIDIA compatibility bits master thread.
However I eventually gave up on that part of the project, since the result simply wasn't good enough IMO.
And actually explaining all of the details of the SLI driver functions became confusing and misleading in the end.
The simple fact is most of the stuff I know about custom SLI profiles is the result of many years of experience and SO much time spent.
Even the technical descriptions given by NVIDIA is of little use, and will never be a substitute for actual testing experience and hard work.
Furthermore I'm also slowly walking away from PC gaming in general, and SLI really has little to do with it.
My interests really lie elsewhere now, and a hint to this can be found in my signature :)

SLI information for Serious Sam 4
Did some more messing around with custom SLI profiles in the DX11 version of Serious Sam 4.
It seems "0x000000F1" combined with setting "0x00A06746" to a value of "0x00008000" does the trick.
The SLI hack is needed to prevent framerate recovery issues when moving around the game world.

Updated SLI information for Dead by Daylight
Did some SLI testing in the latest version 4.4.2. of the UE4 based horror title Dead by Daylight.
It seems "0x280000F1" combined with setting "0x00A0694B" to "0x00000001" is enough in this case.
The SLI broadcast flag is needed to fix severe graphics glitches.
So far I found no issues at all with this SLI solution :)
Testing was done at native 3840x2160@60Hz resolution using maximum ingame settings.
The resolution should however be manually set in GameUserSettings.ini located in
"\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\".
Please keep in mind, that the game is capped at 62 FPS.

About EVERSPACE: 0x080000F1 works but fps are lower than one GPU, 0x080020F1 works better: gpus scaller fine

Updated SLI information for Insurgency: Sandstorm
I had a look at the latest version 1.9.0.132789 of the UE4 based shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm.
Once again SLI behavior has changed, but I found a reasonable solution.

Keep in mind, that I have no way of knowing whether the standard "0x000000F1" profile is enough on SLI systems with more bandwidth.

SLI information for Mortal Kombat 11
I did some SLI testing in the DX11 version of Mortal Kombat 11.
In this case "0x080000F1" is enough for very decent scaling.
There are a couple things to keep in mind though.
First of all the game will limit your AA setting to FXAA in AFR mode.
Secondly the only way of using DSR resolutions is to first set your Windows Desktop resolution to whatever resolution you want to use ingame.
Testing was done using maximum settings at 5120x2880 resolution with 60Hz G-Sync enabled (3840x2160 combined with 1.78xDSR and 22% smoothness).
Finally I recommend using the -nologo launch option in Steam to skip the introductory movies at startup.

SLI information for Vampyr
I also had a look at the UE4 based horror title Vampyr.
Here "0x080000F1" is enough for acceptable scaling with TXAA 2X mode enabled.
The 4X and 6X modes reduce scaling efficiency on my system, however still result in positive scaling.
Testing was done using maximum settings at native 3840x2160@60Hz resolution.
Keep in mind that the introductory movies can be skipped by deleting or renaming all files in

SLI information for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments
I had a look at SLI behavior in both the DX9 and DX11 version of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments.
In DX11 I found nothing useful, and scaling is very limited even when using aggressive SLI bits.
However in DX9 there are some possibilities when using higher DSR resolutions.
At this point I found two alternative SLI solutions.
The best possible scaling is achieved using "0x02502001", while "0x02402001" should be used for better compatibility.
In both cases should "0x0095DEF9" be set to "0x0010010A" to fix very minor flickering issues.
"0x02502001" should ONLY be used when setting Post Process to Low ingame, as the more aggressive SLI profile causes SSAO ghosting issues.
Personally I find the SSAO really awful in motion in this game, so it really isn't much of a loss for better SLI scaling in my opinion.
But of course the choice is up to you, and for that reason I have included both SLI profiles in the attached .zip archive at the bottom of the post.
Testing was done at 5760x3240@60Hz resolution using the settings described below (3840x2160 combined with 2.25xDSR and 22% smoothness).
Keep in mind that it is necessary to use the -nostartupmovies -dx9 launch options in Steam to skip the introductory movies and force DX9 mode.

Escape from Tarkov -
SLI Broadcast (DX1x) - 0x0000100A
SLI Compatibility Bits (DX10+DX11) - 0x000020F5
SLI Specific Hacks (DX1x) - 0x00010000
Threaded Optimization - Auto
NVidia Predefined number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering mode on DX10 - Four
NVidia Predefined SLI mode on DX10 - Force AFR
So far so good. Flickering in the main menu, but nothing at all in inventory screens, and so far no flickering or artifacts in-raid. Performance in offline raids degrades when scavs spawn in, but this has always been a problem even without SLI. I think offline raids constantly spawn in scavs, and that somehow lowers GPU usage in a way that I don't really understand. Performance in online raids (where it matters) is great so far, and even seems to scale kind of well.

Updated SLI information for Insurgency: Sandstorm
I had a look at the latest version 1.9.0.132789 of the UE4 based shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm.
Once again SLI behavior has changed, but I found a reasonable solution.
The trick is to use "0x200000F1" combined with setting "0x00A0694B" to "0x00000008" and "0x00A06746" to "0x00000100".
Only this special combination of SLI bits give decent scaling without any downsides or glitches.
It is however necessary to only use FXAA and to disable Screen Space Reflections, but there are no other solutions from what I can tell.
Keep in mind, that I have no way of knowing whether the standard "0x000000F1" profile is enough on SLI systems with more bandwidth.
For that reason I have included 3 .nip profiles in the .zip file attached at the bottom of the post.
One containing the new custom profile, one for "standard" AFR rendering and finally one for single GPU mode.
Testing was done at native 3840x2160@60Hz resolution using the settings described below.

Hi Kamiccolo! Any news About FALLOUT 76 Sli Bits ?
Heyo I have since sold my 1080 tis and upgraded to a 3090.
From my memory use sli bits 0x080000f1
You must set shadow dur to 3000. This fixes all issues with shadow draw as the game cannot compute more than 2 shadow dirs with sli bridge. You do not have to lower shadow distance just shadow dir.
Also with this profile water will dissapear.
To fix this you must set water to 1. This fixes all issues with water with literally no quality loss.
Experiment with sli bits after setting .ini to read only.
Cheers

Also for max fps and no cpu bottlenecking set grass and all other distance settings in game to minimal.

Hello,
can someone help me:
I need a "nvlddmkm.sys" in a system with 2x RTX2080 SLI and latest Nvdia driver! Best between 456.38 - 461.72!
Can someone provide me a download!?
Thanks
Hey
Did you ever try cyberpunk sli with the older driver supporting cfr?? Lol just for kicks. You could probably get it working with nvlink bridge. I hope they resupport sli with 3090s and nvidia inspector.
Imagine 3090 sli in cold war! My god perfect 100 fps at 5k ultrawide would be possible.
Or the new experimental amd gpu hosting dual processors in 1 chip. Aka threadripper on GPU lol omg would start everything all over again lol

really need help to find a solution for SEA OF THIEVES (steam release is coming)
Someone have made some tries?
0x080000F5 scale really fine but the only bug is the vegetation collision when this bits is used, the plants rollings on infinite when the player push them.
when is used the sli broadcast : "0x00000001" with the sli bits "0x080000F5" the vegetation problem is fixed but i have half FPS near 50 fps
EDIT: BLAIRE help me to found a solution, but i m waiting the steam version, Windows Store version doesnt have exclusive fullscreen.
Hi there, I've been having the exact same issues with Sea of Thieves: 0x088000F5 gives very nice scaling but walking through the bushes rotates every single texture which looks very strange ;D. Could you share the solution?
Thanks!
Edit:
For anyone still looking: I found that using the (DX10/11) compatibility bits 0x080222F5 with (DX1x) broadcast 0x00000001 give me the highest possible framerate with two-way SLI using two GTX 970's. Some flickering, but no spinning vegetation!

i Found this SEA OF THIEVES Test Profil on my cloud, i will try it later on my second setup where SLI is always present.
now, i cant verify it, cause i'm at work with my surface where i cant use Nvidia Profile Inspector due to the absence of any Nvidia GPU.
i remember BLAIRE suggest me to use a Broadcast Bits and maybe an Hack Bits where the game running fine on SLI without any Vegetation bugs or Flickering but the GPU scalling was not really good

Thank you!! I tried the profile but it doesnt give me the incredible scaling that 0x080222F5 does. I also contacted Blaire, and he suggested I use the same hack (DIRT 4) but it doesn't seem to do much. The only way to stop the vegetation from spinning on my end is to use SLI broadcast 0x00000001. so now I'm using that but it still distorts the ingame text and menu's a bit which is kind of annoying. Great FPS though!

This profile was not intended for performance, mainly for compatibility if rendering issues already occur with the basic AFR 2 mode, which was probably the case in this game, but there are minimum requirements needed that are fundamental for the next steps, otherwise no proper SLI profile will be possible. SLI broadcast does not really help in such cases.

Thanks for the help, tried both of them, 0x280000F1 scales a bit better than without the "2" in place, but there's more visual artifacts. I think I'll stick with 0x080222F5 for now. Reading the menu's is a challenge though... :ucrazy3:

Indeed, this is the case. AFR2 introduces the weird artifacts/glitches already without any profile changes.

Well, I have no such problems on my system in Serious Sam 4 in x16 x16 mode with the custom SLI profile and the settings mentioned in my post.
FPS does drop a little while moving around, but that also happens in single GPU mode.
It could be some sort of texture streaming or bandwidth issue, however there are no other SLI solutions.
Of that I am completely sure.

Da Halo 5 Forge auf DirectX 12 + UWP setzt, sind die Möglichkeiten da schon sehr eingeschränkt. Also eher Nein.
In aktuellen DX12/Vulkan-API basierten Games sind die Spieleentwickler für explizite MultiGPU-Unterstützung zuständig, während "altes" SLI über die Grafiktreiber nun quasi keinen Nutzen mehr hat.

Hi, does anyone know how to get rid of the flickering lights in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider?
Having the same problems, both with official DX12AFR and custom DX11 SLI. I am pretty sure it worked fine before.
There is a white flickering light appearing during some cutscenes and entering certain areas, this happens very often, and also TAA got broken and it has a lot of flickering and misalignment.
