Borderlands und Bioshock starten nicht

Hallo Zusammen,

ich hoffe jemand hat eine gute Idee. Ich habe das Problem das die genannten Spiele nicht starten.
System ist ein Opensuse mit Nvidia + Properitärem Treiber.

probier das mal:
solve the problem by adding the 64bit libc6 from Ubuntu to ~/.steam/root/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/
.... das war gegooglet.
oder du holst dir die 64 bit libtinfo.so.5 (http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libtinfo.so.5%28%29%2864bit%29), installierst und verschiebst ggf die benötigten dateien in den Steam Ordner

steam will irgendwelche 64bit libaries obwohl die Steam binarys 32bit sind

eine wage Vermutung, ich mag Linux aber zum zocken, tut mir leid, [x]dualboot

DISTRIB_ID && DISTRIB_RELEASE kann man als EXPORT setzen; das ist hier aber nicht das Problem. libtinfo.so.5 braucht einen softlink, da es die so nicht mehr gibt. Mindestens eine Abhängigkeit (NetworkManager & lspci) fehlt. Mit den Schriften stimmt was nicht, was aber nicht wild ist, wenn er nicht nochmal "meckert"....
Ich kann mir aber nicht vorstellen, das der Steam-Client so in den OpenSuse-Repos ist.

Ich weiß nicht ob OpenSuse was anderes macht aber das .deb auf der Steam Seite enthält nur ein Shell Script was den eigentlichen Code lädt
Sieht man oben ja an den Pfaden. Es wird dann im Home Verzeichnis installiert. Statt im System

und dann einfach zypper install steam.
libtinfo.so.5 hat einen Softlink auf libtinfo.so.5.9. Das habe ich jetzt auf die libtinfo.so.6.0 vom System geändert.

Wenn ich das richtig sehe, dann ist das die Repo von Tumbleweed - ihre Rolling-distro; und da mischt du mit der "stable".

Wenn du aber nur noch Error-Meldungen vom gameoverlayrenderer.so hast, dann ist das das Steam-Overlay:

Hab gerade noch einen weiteren Fehler gefunden, muss wohl die Spiele von der XFS Platte auf Ext4 packen.

Probleme wegen dem FileSystem? Das FS ist so weit "unten", dass es dem ausführenden Programm egal sein sollte, oder Probleme mit dem FS an sich?

Das genannte Repository funktioniert leider nicht.
Auch wenn ich OpenSuse schon lange nicht mehr habe, lese ich deine geposteten Repos so, dass du Tumbleweed schon drin hast, und auch Steam von dem Repo ( download.opensuse.org-tumbleweed ) installiert hast, :|
Denn auch Steam gibt es laut http://software.opensuse.org/package/steam nur in Tumbleweed als stable.

Auch wenn ich OpenSuse mag, in meiner Erinnerung die KDE-Distro, aber irgendwas ist das falsch. Steam läuft eingentlich ganz "problemlos" auf den meisten Distros.
Vll mal ein *buntu probieren, wenn du Zeit / Lust hast. Kubuntu - wenn du KDE magst - soll top sein.

Das scheinen wirklich Probleme wegen dem FS zu sein, findet man auch Infos im Web zu. Hätte ich auch nicht erwartet.
Bis auf das Overlay läuft jetzt alles. Ihr habt mir also schon sehr geholfen.

Ich kämpfe im Moment mir Dying Light, die Folgenden Biblioteken fehlen mir. habt ihr eine Idee?

Hab Opensuse auf 12.3 zurückgesetzt.
jetzt scheint alles zu funktionieren. Für die libcurl-gnutls.so.4 habe ich einen Symlink gesetzt.

Wenn, dann am besten das auf Ubuntu basierende Mint...

Hat bessere Defaults. Bei Ubuntu musst z.T. 'nen XFS Treiber dazu installieren. Bei Mint ist der mit bei.

Und keine Lust alles neu zu machen.
