Brother DCP-1512 Linux Mint 17.3

Ich bin jetzt komplett auf Linux Mint umgestiegen und bin - würde ich sagen - Einsteiger. Bin soweit auch auch gut durchgekommen mit der Konfiguration, eine Kleinigkeit habe ich aber nicht hingekommen und zwar mein Brother DCP-1512 ans scannen zu bekommen. Ich habe die Brother Treiber installiert und brsaneconfig4 -d zeigt folgendes an:

Drucken funktioniert problemlos, in simple scan wird mir kein Scanner angezeigt. Nun weiß ich gerade irgendwie nicht weiter :confused:

An der Antwort wäre ich auch sehr interessiert, da es auch bei Mint 17.3 mit dem Brother DCP-7030 nicht geht.

Bin zu dösig, bekomme es nicht ans laufen. Aber ich werde am Wochenende nochmal berichten und mich damit beschäftigen.

Anstatt Fremdpaketen (http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Fremdquellen) kann man auch CUPS (http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/CUPS) aus den Repos nehmen.

Kann leider keine Lösung bringen, aber bin auf Xubuntu 15.10 gewechselt -> dort klappt es problemlos :confused:

Hast du mal den Kernel auf 4.2 geupdatet?
